솔비탄지방산 에스테르는솔비톨또는 솔비탄과같은 다가 알코올과 스테아릭산 (Stearic acid, C18:0)을에스테르결합하여 형성된 비이온성 계면활성제입니다. 솔비탄지방산에스테르는비교적 친유성이크고, 독성이적어서 식품, 산업, 화장품, 의약품분야에서 광범위하게 사용되고 있습니다.
